Children's Ministries

Children are always welcome at St. Paul’s! We encourage parents to bring their children to Sunday morning education, BYG at Camp Agape, Vacation Bible School, Agape Day Camp, Camp Clamser and congregation events.

Children's Church

On the first Sunday of each month, a special worship service just for children pre-K through 5th grade is held during both the Celebration and Traditional Worship Services. After the Children’s Sermon at the beginning of each service, the children are invited to follow Mrs. Emily and Mrs. Cindy to the Sunday school rooms in Keever Hall for a worship service created just for them. Following the completion of the service, parents can pick up their children in the fellowship hall.

BYG (BUILDING YOUTH GROUPS)

BYG helps to build a sense of group unity for our 3rd-5th graders. A BYG weekend or summer week at Camp Agape in Fuquay-Varina is designed to be a focused event and includes group leaders from our congregation. The weekend or summer experience is taken with you when you return, bringing with it an energy and focus that can be drawn upon for our church programs for this age group.

VBS (VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL)

Our VBS program is a week-long, day program held during the summer. The program is filled with songs, crafts, experiments, games, food, and stories that tell of God’s love and grace.
In 2008, we took an exciting trip into the jungle with Rainforest Adventure. In 2009, we took an expedition into Discovery Canyon. 2010 was just as much fun as we gathered around the Baobab tree.

This year (2011) was more fun than ever! Everyone knows what it’s like to hear your mom tell stories from your childhood. Can you imagine the stories Mary could tell?  Well, our kids went back to Hometown Nazareth, where they stood up for their faith among people who doubted that the carpenter’s son is really God’s Son. The music and stories were wonderful, and all of the "tribes" had a great time ... lot's of crafts and games too.  And the performance for the parents was phenomenal!

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School
July 11 through July 15, 2011

VBS teaches about God's love for us through Stories, Crafts, Games, Music, and Science and is one of our most popular children's programs that has grown every year.  This year was a wonderful success and we hope to see everyone back again next summer.

CAMP CLAMSER

During various times of the year, our children and youth enjoy crafts, food, and fellowship at the home of our Director of Youth & Family Ministries, Emily Clamser. If the weather is good, we enjoy a dip in the pool also!
